Rev. Dr. Nerses Vrej Nersessian is a senior priest of the Armenian Apostolic Church and holds a doctorate in theology from King's College, London. He is a world authority on the Christian Middle East. Rev. Nersessian is the author of a number of significant works on Armenian Christian art and Christianity. He was born in Iran (1948), educated at Martasiragan Djemaran of Calcutta, and at Echmiadzin. Subsequently he moved to London where he became the curator of the Christian Middle East Section at the British Library, a position that he held for many years.
